عنوان انگلیسی Determinants of The Grade A Embryos in Infertile Women; Zero-Inflated Regression Model
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Objective: In assistant reproductive technology, it is important to choose high quality embryos for embryo transfer. The aim of the present study was to determine the grade A Embryo count and its related factors in infertile women. Materials and methods: In this historical cohort study, 996 infertile women were included. In this research the main outcome was the number of grade A embryo. Zero-inflated Poisson (ZIP) regression and zero-inflated negative binomial model (ZINB) were used to model the count data as it contained too many zero counts. Stata software, version 13 (Stata Corp, College Station, TX, USA) was used for all statistical analyses. Results: After adjusting for potential confounders, by ZINB model the results show that for each unit increase of 2 pronuclear (2PN) number, we get an increase of 1.45 times (95% CI: 1.23-1.69, p=0.001) in the expected count of embryo grade A number and for each unit increase of the cleavage day we get a decrease 0.35 times (95% CI: 0.20-0.61, p=0.001) in expected count of grade A embryo number. Conclusion: 2PN zygotes number and cleavage day have a significant relationship with number of grade A embryo in both ZINB and ZIP regressions and the estimated coefficients are more plausible than values found in earlier studies using less relevant models.
