عنوان فارسی حاشیه‌نشینی و فضای شهری: بازتولید اجتماع غریبه ها، مطالعه موردی محله‌ی عرب‌های ملک شهر اصفهان
چکیده فارسی مقاله هدف اصلی تحقیق تحلیل «وضعیت غریبگی» حاشیه‌نشینان نسبت به اجتماع بزرگتر یعنی ساکنین شهر اصفهان و اهالی محلات مجاور و نیز نسبت به یکدیگر بوده است. بر اساس یافته ها پایین بودن سطح اعتماد اجتماعی در محل، ناامن دیدن محل و پایین بودن سطح روابط اجتماعی نزدیک و صمیمی، چندپارگی بافت اجتماعی محله‌ی عرب‌ها را نشان می‌دهد. نگرش‌های منفی اهالی محلات مجاور به محله‌ی عرب‌ها از یک سو و فقدان روابط اجتماعی با افراد صاحب پایگاه اجتماعی بالا و قوی بودن هویت قومی در ساکنین از سوی دیگر، نشان دهنده‌ی جداافتادگی جامعه‌شناختی و نه صرفاً مکانی و فضایی اهالی محله عرب ها از فرآیندها و محیط شهری است.

چکیده انگلیسی مقاله In this article, we analyze social conditions of slum-dwellers in the Arab district of Malekshahr in Isfahan. We examine how these slum residents are considered “strangers” by Isfahan residents, inhabitants of the adjacent districts, and even themselves. Data for this study were collected through a mixed method in two phases. Each phase included in-depth interviews and a survey. Research findings indicate that due to low levels of social trust, insecurity, and lack of intimate and close social relations among residents, the social fabric of the Arab District is fragile and weak. Furthermore, negative attitudes toward slum residents expressed by inhabitants of neighboring districts, a strong emphasis on ethnic identity of the residents, and lack of powerful relations with individuals of high socioeconomic status have exacerbated the physical and social alienation of the Arab district of Malekshahr from the larger urban and social processes.
