عنوان فارسی بررسی انگیزه‌های انتخاب رشته تحصیلی در دانشجویان پزشکی و دندان‌پزشکی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی رفسنجان
چکیده فارسی مقاله زمینه و هدف: بی‌تردید یکی از اساسی‌ترین تصمیم‌ها برای هر انسان در طول زندگی، انتخاب شغل می‌باشد و افراد با انتخاب رشته تحصیلی، آماده ورود به حرفه مربوطه می‌شوند. هدف این مطالعه، بررسی انگیزه‌های انتخاب رشته تحصیلی در دانشجویان پزشکی و دندان‌پزشکی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی رفسنجان بود. مواد و روش‌ها: در این مطالعه توصیفی- مقطعی که در سال 1389 انجام شد، پرسش‌نامه‌ای حاوی سؤالاتی برای جمع‌آوری اطلاعات فردی و سؤالات مربوط به انگیزه انتخاب رشته تحصیلی به صورت جمع ایفا در اختیار دانشجویان سال اول و دوم رشته‌های پزشکی و دندان‌پزشکی قرار گرفت (146 دانشجو). داده‌ها با استفاده از آزمون‌های آمار توصیفی و مجذور کای تجزیه و تحلیل شدند. یافته‌ها: میزان پاسخ‌دهی در این تحقیق 89% بود. دانشجویان شرکت‌کننده، به تفکیک 60% پزشکی و 40% دندان‌پزشکی بودند. در بین دانشجویان رشته پزشکی و دندان‌پزشکی "داشتن موقعیت حرفه‌ای بالا " و "موقعیت اجتماعی" جزء مهم‌ترین انگیزه‌ها در انتخاب رشته تحصیلی بوده است. انگیزه‌های " داشتن امنیت شغلی" (04/0= p )، " درآمد بالا" (01/0= p ) و "داشتن شغلی نیازمند توانایی‌های دستی" (001/0= p ) به طور معنی‌داری برای دانشجویان دندان‌پزشکی مهم‌تر بودند. در مقابل، اهمیت انگیزه‌های " ارتباط با مردم"(02/0= p ) و " داشتن شغلی با چالش‌های زیاد" (01/0= p ) برای دانشجویان پزشکی به طور معنی‌داری بیشتر بود. نتیجه‌گیری: انتخاب رشته‌های تحصیلی پزشکی و دندان‌پزشکی تا حدود زیادی مربوط به برخوردار بودن از موقعیت حرفه‌‌ای بالا و جایگاه اجتماعی این رشته‌ها می‌باشد. تفاوت موجود در انگیزه‌های انتخاب رشته تحصیلی در بین این دو رشته مربوط به ماهیت کاری آنها است. واژه‌های کلیدی: دانشجویان ، انگیزه، انتخاب رشته تحصیلی، دندان‌پزشکی، پزشکی

عنوان انگلیسی Evaluation of Motivations for Choosing Field of Study Among Medical and Dental Students of Rafsanjan University of Medical Sciences
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Background and Objectives : Undoubtedly , looking for a suitable job is one of the most important issues in everybody's life including students and a student's area of study has a great impact on this issue. The aim of this study was to assess motivations underlying the field of study choice in medical and dental students of Rafsanjan Medical University. Materials and Methods: In this descriptive cross-sectional study in 2010, questionnaires included demographic information and questions about the students' motives were given to the medical and dental students of the first and second years (146 students). The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and Chi-square test. Results: The response rate to the questionnaires was 89%. Sixty percent and 40% of the participants were medical and dental students respectively. The most important motivations among both students were "High professional status" and " Prestigious social standing". The motives of "Provides a secure career" (p= 0.04), "High income" (p= 0.01) and "Requires use of manual skills" (p= 0.001) were significantly more important for dental students. Medical students, in contrast to their dental counterparts, were significantly more likely motivated by factors relating to "Interacting with other people" (p= 0.02) and "Challenging career" (p= 0.01). Conclusion: Choosing field of study by medical and dental studying likely related to their high professional and prestigious social status. The difference between the motivations of choosing the area of study is possibly related to the different nature of these two academic disciplines .
