عنوان فارسی مقایسه اثرات دگزامتازون موضعی و داخل وریدی بر ادم وتریسموس به دنبال جراحی مولرهای سوم نهفته فک پایین
چکیده فارسی مقاله چکیده مقدمه و هدف: ادم و تریسموس از عوارض شایع بعد از عمل جراحی دندان‌های نهفته است. هدف از مطالعه حاضر مقایسه اثرات دگزامتازون موضعی و داخل وریدی بر ادم و تریسموس به دنبال جراحی بافت سخت دندان‌های مولار سوم نهفته فک پایین می‌باشد. مواد و روش‌ها: در این مطالعه کارآزمایی بالینی 20 نفر به طور تصادفی انتخاب و به دو گروه 10 نفره تقسیم شدند. خارج کردن مولرهای سوم نهفته دوطرفه مندیبل تحت بی‌حسی موضعی انجام پذیرفت. گروه الف، 8 میلی‌گرم دگزامتازون وریدی و گروه ب، 4 میلی‌گرم دگزامتازون اینفیلتره موضعی برای هر طرف فک دریافت کردند. ادم ایجاد شده به وسیله متر نواری و سونوگرافی و تریسموس با اندازه‌گیری فاصله بین انسیزالی در حالت دهان باز قبل و بعد از عمل به وسیله خط‌کش مدرج تعیین شدند. داده‌ها به وسیله آزمون‌های آماری Mann-Wittney و Wilcoxon تجزیه و تحلیل شدند. یافته‌ها: روش‌های سونوگرافی و متر نواری (روش الف) نشان دادند که دگزامتازون موضعی به طور معنی‌داری از دگزامتازون وریدی در کاهش ادم بعد از جراحی اثر بخش‌تر می‌باشد (012/0= p )، تفاوت اثربخشی بین دگزامتازون موضعی و وریدی بر روی تریسموس از لحاظ آماری معنی‌دار نبود. نتیجه‌گیری: نتایج نشان داد که استفاده از دگزامتازون موضعی یک راهبرد درمانی اثر بخش در کاهش ادم بعد از جراحی دندان‌های مولر سوم فک پایین می‌باشد. واژه‌های کلیدی : دگزامتازون، ادم، تریسموس، مولر سوم نهفته

چکیده انگلیسی مقاله The Comparison of Effects of Local and Intravenous Dexamethasone on Edema and Trismus Following Impacted Mandibular Third Molars Surgery A.R. The aim of the present study was to compare the effects of local and intravenous (IV) dexamethasone on the edema and trismus following hard tissue impacted mandibular third molar teeth surgery. Materials and methods: In this clinical trial, 20 patients were randomly selected and allocated into two treatment groups. S urgical removal of bilateral impacted madibular third molars under local anesthesia were performed. Group A received 8mg IV dexamethasone and group B received 4mg local infilterated dexamethasone for each side. Edema was measured using both tape measure and sonography methods. In regards to trismus, interincisal mouth-opening was measured using a calibrated caliper pre-operatively and post-operatively. Data were statistically analyzed using Mann-Wittney and Wilcoxon tests. Results: Both sonography and tape measure (method A ) methods showed that the local dexamethasone was significantly more effective than IV dexamethasone in reduction of post-operative edema (p=0.012). Meanwhile, the difference of effectiveness between local and IV dexamethasone on the trismus was not statistically significant. Conclusion: The results indicated that the use of local dexamethasone is an effective therapeutical strategy in reduction of post-operative edema of mandibular third molar teeth surgery.
