عنوان فارسی جایگاه نظریۀ ژئوپلیتیک مکیندر در سیاست‌های جهانی بریتانیا
چکیده فارسی مقاله در این مقاله، جایگاه و تأثیر اندیشۀ هالفورد مکیندر، واضع نظریۀ قلب زمین، در سیاست‌های جهانی بریتانیا طی سه دورۀ زمانی از اوایل قرن بیستم تا زمان حاضر بررسی شده ‌است. این مقاله، ضمن توجه به روند تکامل تاریخی و سیر تکوین دیدگاه ژئوپلیتیک مکیندر، با بررسی متغیرهای موقعیت سرزمینی، قدرت، جبر ژئوپلیتیک و رقابت‌های ژئوپلیتیک، جایگاه این نظریه در روابط خارجی بریتانیا را مورد مطالعه قرار می‌دهد. امتیازها و ضعف‌های ژئوپلیتیک بریتانیا، موقعیت سرزمینی آن و ارتباط معنادارش با عامل قدرت در حوزۀ سیاسی و اقتصادی این کشور اهمیت بسیاری دارد. این دیدگاه که نظریۀ هارتلند برای رهایی از تنگناهای جبر ژئوپلیتیک بریتانیا و در راستای توسعۀ امپراتوری بوده است، بررسی می‌شود. مکیندر ابتدا در شناخت امتیازها و ضعف‌های ژئوپلیتیک بریتانیا، و در مرحلۀ بعد، برای ارائۀ راه‌حل به‌منظور جلوگیری از افول امپراتوری و نیز استمرار و نفوذ آن در عرصۀ جهانی تلاش کرد. اسناد ارائه‌شده، نشان می‌دهد که نوع و مدل روابط خارجی بریتانیا با جهان، به‌ویژه در راستای حفظ توازن قدرت و استمرار نفوذ این کشور، تا حد چشمگیری تحت تأثیر نظریۀ مکیندر بوده است که در برخی نقاط جهان، از جمله خاورمیانه همچنان ادامه دارد.این تداوم، در مناسبات و تعاملات جهانی این کشور و روابط ویژه‌اش با ایالات متحدۀ آمریکا پس ازجنگ جهانی دوم عینیت و نمود بیشتری داشته است.

عنوان انگلیسی THE PALCE AND INFLUENCE OF HALFORD MACKINDER’S THEORY IN BRITAIN’S GLOBAL POLITICS
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله This study attempts to explore the development and evolution of Mackinder's geopolitical thinking in global politics of British Empire and its influence thereafter. This research paper examines the characteristics of geopolitical perspective of Britain, through Halford Mackinder's Heartland theory during the three periods of the early twentieth century to the present time. In this regard, the paper will review variables of territorial status, power, geopolitical rivalries, and geopolitical determinism to explore the core thesis of Mackinder's geopolitics and implications of British international politics today. The article approaches realism/neorealism for understanding the role of Mackinder's geopolitical considerations in Britain's global politics. The Author argues that Mackinder primarily tried to identify geopolitical advantages and disadvantages of Great Britain, and then, finding solutions to sustain British Empire's life and prevent its decline. The findings show that interactions of identified factors played a role in policy development and geopolitical rivalries with other European powers. This article suggests that the foreign policy decisions of British statesmen have largely influenced by Mackinder's geopolitical variables in terms of balance of power and the continuity of Britain's influence during the Empire and in the present time in some parts of the world, including Eurasia and the Middle East.
