عنوان فارسی جایگاه اقتباس ماتیو آرنولد از داستان رستم و سهراب شاهنامه در نظامگان ادبی عصر ویکتوریا
چکیده فارسی مقاله این مقاله، جایگاه اقتباس فرهنگی آرنولد از داستان رستم و سهراب شاهنامه را در نظامگان ادبی عصر ویکتوریا در انگلستان بحث و فحص می‌کند. طبق نظریۀ نظامگان پیشنهادی اون- زهر، ادبیات مترجَم می‌تواند بسته به اینکه فرهنگ مقصد جوان، ضعیف، یا بحران زده باشد، نوعاً از دو جایگاه اصلی/برتر و ثانوی/حاشیه‌ای در فرهنگ مقصد برخوردار شود. به نظر می‌رسد ترجمۀ وفادارانۀ شاهنامه به زبان انگلیسی از جایگاهی ثانوی برخوردار باشد، لیکن اقتباس توانسته پا را از حد اثر اقتباسی صرف فراتر بگذارد. این جستار پس از اشاره به جایگاه خاص فردوسی در نظامگان ادب فارسی، وضعیت آثار ترجمه شده از فارسی به انگلیسی، و سنت ترجمه در سنن مغرب زمین در سدۀ نوزدهم، در پیکرۀ اصلی به این پرسش می پردازد که چگونه اقتباس فرهنگی آرنولد توانسته در عصر ویکتوریا جایگاه آثار برتر را از آن خود کند. برای پاسخ به این پرسش، به جایگاه آرنولد در مقام شاعر، ناقد، و مترجم/اقتباس‌گر اشاره می‌شود و سپس، ضمن بررسی تطبیقی اقتباس آرنولد با داستان اصلی شاهنامه و منابعی که در دسترس آرنولد بوده، وجوه تفاوت و شباهت متمایز میان دو بوطیقای ادبی فارسی و انگلیسی در پرتو نظریۀ نظامگان بحث و فحص می‌شود. به نظر می‌رسد اقتباس آرنولد توانسته از منظر دگرنویسی و نوآفرینی خلاقانۀ آرنولد و با لحاظ کردن ویژگی‌هایی بوطیقایی سنن ادبی مغرب زمین، به جایگاه آثار برتر در نظامگان ادبی این عصر ارتقا پیدا کند.

عنوان انگلیسی A Study of The Position of Arnold’s Adaption of Shahnameh’s Rustam & Sohrab in the English literary Poly-system of Victorian
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله This paper discusses the prominent position of Arnold's cultural adaptation of the compelling story of Rustam & Sohrab in Shahnameh in the Victorian literary poly-system in England.  According to the poly-system theory as proposed by Even-Zohar, the translated literature can typically have primary /central and/or peripheral/marginal positions in the target culture, depending on whether the target culture is young, weak, or in crisis.  Meantime, the faithful translation of Shahnameh seems to occupy the peripheral position in English translation, but Arnold's adaptation has typically exceeded  the adaptive effect and obtained the proper position in the literary poly-system of the Victorian.  This paper aims to peruse how Arnold's cultural adaptation of Shahnameh's passionate story has marked a primary position in the English literary poly- system of the Victorian era. To this aim, Firstly, Arnold's position as an interpreter/adaptor is sketched out. Then, having compared Arnold's adaptation with the primary sources to which Arnold has typically had access to become familiar with the Persian native story, mention is reasonably made of the marked differences between the two Persian and English literary poetics under the umbrella of poly-system theory as proposed by Even-Zohar. Due to the innovative way (s) Arnold has uniquely adapted, recreated, and re-written the native story with specific regard to the peculiar features of the literary tradition of the Western poetics, it seems that the local story of Shahnameh has  found the prime position in the Western literary poetics of the Victorian.
