عنوان انگلیسی Examining the Components of Creating Adolescent Heroes in Screenplays based on the Hero Journey Pattern and within The Framework of Qur'anic Culture and Iranian Identity (A Case Study of movies "Ivan's Childhood" and "The Child and the Angel")
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله In the last decades some scholars in the field of script-writing have tried to design different patterns for characterization of the hero in cinema and television. Vogler's Journey of Hero Pattern has created a new approach in scriptwriting due to its emphasis on hero development stages. The present study has reviewed adolescent journey pattern based on that of Vogler. In this research which was carried out by a documentary methodology, the stages of hero journey within an archetypal realm and by considering Iranian culture and identity. In this study one stage was removed from Vogler's pattern and three new stages were added, hence, the journey of adolescent hero was established within fourteen stages. This research tries to illustrate how cinema and television scriptwriting could create adolescent heros. As a case study, the narrative structures of two movies, i.e. "Ivan's Childhood" and "the Child and the Angel" were examined based on the proposed model.
