عنوان فارسی فلسفه تطبیقی چیست؟
چکیده فارسی مقاله فلسفه تطبیقی، بررسی آراء فلاسفه در یک یا چند موضوع فلسفی و یا میان مکتب‌های گوناگون فلسفی نیست. در بیشتر این مکتوبات، به بررسی و تبیین تشابهات و تخالفات و یا اشتراکات و تفاوت‌های موضوع مورد بحث، منتهی می‌شود.به طور کلی، شرایط یک تحقیق تطبیقی، سه چیز است: اولاً؛ تطبیق باید میان دو فلسفه‌ای صورت گیرد که از حیث مبادی، متفاوت باشند. ثانیاً؛ باید زبان هم‌زبانی دو طرف تطبیق را یافت تا به مبادی آن‌ها رسید. ثالثاً؛ پس از فهم مبانی و مبادی آن‌ها، مقصد آن را دریافت. بنابراین فلسفه تطبیقی، تاریخ فلسفه نیست که در آن مختصر تمام آرای فلاسفه را نقل و احیاناً با هم قیاس کنند؛ اگر پژوهنده به آغاز و مبادی فلسفه‌ها نرود، تطبیق او ظاهری است. پس فلسفه تطبیقی به معنی تطبیق یک فلسفه در تمامیت آن بر یک فلسفه‌ی دیگر و حتی بر تاریخ فلسفه است؛ از این‌رو، فلسفه تطبیقی، با هم سخنی و هم‌زبانی میان فلاسفه و فلسفه‌های آنان، امکان تحقق می‌یابد.

عنوان انگلیسی What Is Comparative Philosophy?
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Comparative philosophy is not a review of philosophers' standpoints on one or more philosophical issues or among different philosophical schools. Most of the works on comparative philosophy lead to a review and explanation of similarities and contradictions or differences and commonalities of different philosophies on the issue. Generally, a comparative research has three conditions: 1) two philosophies which are different in terms of principles should be compared; 2) the common language of these two philosophies should be found in order to understand their principles; 3) having understood their foundations and principles, their aims should be understood. Therefore, comparative philosophy is not the history of philosophy in which all views of philosophers are narrated and possibly compared briefly. If a researcher does not begin and deal with the foundations and principles of philosophies, his comparison is superficial. So, comparative philosophy means comparing a philosophy as whole with another philosophy or even with the history of philosophy. Therefore, comparative philosophy is possible through a same language and dialogue among philosophers and their philosophies.
