عنوان فارسی نقد ترجمه واژه «اُمّی» با تکیه بر سیاق آیات و روایات معصومین (علیهم‌السلام)
چکیده فارسی مقاله واژه های «اُمّی» و «امیین» مجموعاً شش بار به صورت مفرد و جمع در قرآن‌کریم به کار رفته است. در تحلیل‌های مفسران و قرآن پژوهان، این تعبیر قرآنی به معانی مختلفی همچون «بی‌سواد، عوام و فرد بدون کتاب الهی» آمده است. مترجمان قرآن‌کریم نیز در ترجمه این واژه، آن را به «درس ناخوانده بودن و بی­سواد بودن رسول خدا (ص) و قوم او» برگردانده­اند که به نظر می‌رسد این معانی با سیاق آیات مربوط به آن و همچنین با روایاتی که در معناشناسی این واژه صادر شده، هماهنگ نیست. لذا در این مقاله که به شیوه توصیفی- تحلیلی نوشته شده، ترجمه این واژه قرآنی مورد نقد و بررسی قرار گرفت و مشخص گردید معانی یادشده صحیح و دقیق به‌نظر نمی‌رسد بلکه بر اساس سیاق آیات و همچنین روایات معتبر شیعه، امّیون کسانی هستند که کتاب الهی بر آن‌ها نازل نشده و فاقد کتاب هستند، لذا اکثریت مترجمان به دلیل تحت تأثیر بودن از پیش فرض‌های فکری و ارتکازی فقط به ترجمه تحت الفظی پرداخته‌اند.

عنوان انگلیسی Criticism of the translation of the word "ummi" based on the context of the verses and the narrations of the infallibles (Ma'sūmīn peace be upon them (
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله The words "ummi" and "ummiin" have been used singularly and collectively in the Qur'an a total of six times. According to commentators and Quran scholars, this Quranic term has different meanings such as "illiterate, common people and a person without a divine book". The translators of the Holy Qur'an have translated it into "the illiteracy and illiteracy of the Messenger of God (pbuh) and his people", which seems to be coordinated with the context of the related verses and the issued narrations. In this article, which was written in a descriptive-analytical method, the translation of this Quranic word was reviewed and it was found that the mentioned meanings do not seem correct and accurate, but according to the context of verses and authentic Shiite narrations, "ummiin" are the ones to whom the Divine book has not been revealed and who do not have the Book. So the majority of translators have only translated literally because they are influenced by intellectual and mental presuppositions.
