عنوان فارسی نقد و بررسی قدرت و دانش در ایران دوره اسلامی
چکیده فارسی مقاله سنت با صورت‌بندی اندیشه و اندیشه­ورزی، تحولات در جوامع را جهت­دهی کرده و با کتمان تاریخی بودنش سلطه خویش را بر قرائت ‌معاصر می­گستراند. با این حال چارچوب‌های تحلیل این حوزه، هیچکدام آشکار نمی­سازند که قدرت چگونه دانش‌ و تولیدات فکر دینی را منقاد ساخته و آنها را در راستای راهبردها و اهداف خود به خدمت گرفته است. با این توضیح تحلیل «قدرت و دانش در ایران دوره اسلامی» در رفع این خلاء و با اتخاذ رویکردی گفتمانی تلاش می­کند تا نشان ­دهد که گفتمان اسلامی چگونه و با چه سازوکاری به برجسته‌سازی و حاشیه‌رانی مفاهیم متکثر پرداخته، و چگونه یک مفهوم مرکزی را بسط داده و آنرا فرا‌زمانی/مکانی‌می­نمایاند. مولف پاسخ به­این سوال را جستجو می‌کند که دانش سیاسی از کجا ظاهر و به کجا ختم می­شود. بااینحال در ارزیابی این اثر آشکار می­شود که مرزهای گفتمانی دانش سیاسی در دوره میانه و جدید تعریفی مشخص نمی­یابند همچنین متن مشخص نمی­سازد الگوهای سیاسی که طرد‌ شده­اند تا نظم‌ موجود تنها الگوی ممکن و مشروع زندگی سیاسی تثبیت شود کدامند. با این وصف انتظارات از اتخاذ پیش‌فرض‌های تحلیل گفتمانی همراه با سایر دقایق موجود در متن، محور ارزیابی این اثر قرار گرفته است.

عنوان انگلیسی A Critique on the Book “Power and Knowledge in Iran of the Islamic Era”
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله The tradition directs the changes and developments of Islamic society with a certain formulation of thought. Rejecting its historic rules, the tradition prevents critical questions, extends its domination to contemporary reading, and protects religion by adhering to it. The orientalist pattern and the traditional method of understanding are two important approaches in interpreting and understanding the tradition. Each of the two methods presents different perspectives and outcomes of Middle Eastern political knowledge. But none of them shows how power has shaped knowledge and products of religious thought while taking benefit of them in the favor of its own strategies and goals. None of these two methods have focused on identifying alternative political patterns that are altered and rejected in order to make the existing order the only possible model of legitimate political life. Adopting a discursive approach, the book, "Power and Knowledge in Iran, the Islamic Era", attempts to demonstrate how and through what mechanism, Islamic discourse highlights and diversifies plural concepts, and how it extends a central concept while projecting it as an absolute, beyond time and place notion. Nonetheless, the expectations resulted from adopting such a framework would go beyond that. Such expectations, being particularly based on the discursive presuppositions, are the evaluation core of this work along with other details of the text.
