عنوان فارسی بازگشت ونوس و آدونیس از تبعید: جرمی گیلبرت رُلف و بازخوانیِ معاصرِ زیبا و والا
چکیده فارسی مقاله موضوع این مقاله دوباره خوانی دو مفهوم کلاسیک در تاریخ هنر است. جرمی گیلبرت رُلف منتقد و هنرمند معاصر به یاری نقادیِ نقد هنر، سعی می کند از یک سو به دنبال گواهی هنری بر وجود غرابت چالش برانگیز زیبا در قالب دیالکتیک نامتعین رنگ ها باشد و از سوی دیگر ضمن به چالش کشیدن اندیشه های متفکرانی چون کانت و لیوتار به بازخوانی رسالت هنر انتزاعی درباره امکان تجسم انتزاعی رویدادِ والا بپردازد، به زبانی بصری به آن نزدیک شود و با گویشی فلسفی از آن سخن گوید. گیلبرت رُلف ضمن اشاره به لزوم بازگشت به زیبایی و بازخوانی آن به مثابه امری سبک سر، تصویری، و انضمامی، به حضور والای آندروجینی تأکید می کند که جنبه ای پرخاشگر منفعلانه داشته و با زیبا رابطه برقرار می نماید. از این رو، والای معاصر در بطن طبیعتی دگرگون شده، حیثی تصویری می یابد و به کمک سپیدی یا نانوشتگی، از خودآیینی ایده عقلی به درآمده و غیاب امر غیر قابل نمایش را به حضوری محسوس نامحسوس تبدیل می کند.

چکیده انگلیسی مقاله This article would expose a close re-reading of two classical concepts in art history. Using indeterminate color dialectic, contemporary critic and artist Jeremy Gilbert-Rolfe tries to provide an artistic testimony in favor of the challenging strangeness of the beauty. On the other hand, while calling into question the thinking of philosophers like Kant and Lyotard he wants to shed new lights on the task of abstract art and the potentiality of this art for illustrating the sublime. Rolfe believes in the return to the beauty and insists on the concept of beauty as something frivolous, pictorial and concrete. He also mentions the sublime presence of androgyny which, according to him, pertains to a passive-aggressive aspect and entails the beauty. Therefore, contemporary sublime finds a pictorial dimension in the very nature of transformation. By the means of the blankness and the non-written, contemporary sublime liberates itself from the autonomy of the concept of reason and turns the absence of the un-displayable into a simultaneously tangible and intangible presence.
