عنوان فارسی بحثی تاریخ‌نگارانه دربارۀ موانع یا عوامل ایجاد انقلاب علمی در تمدن اسلامی و غرب
چکیده فارسی مقاله در این مقاله بحث می‌شود که چرا نمی‌توان پرسید چه عواملی مانع انقلاب علمی در جهان اسلام شد. زیرا عین آن عوامل در تمدن غرب مسیحی اواخر قرون میانه نیز وجود داشتند. علاوه بر این، چنین پرسشی به آن معنا است که مسیر طبیعی علم قدیم آن بود که به علم جدید منجر شود، در حالی که این پیش‌فرض نیز مسلم نیست. نویسندۀ مقاله «روش شناسی بومی و علوم جدید» با اینکه به این نکات توجه داشته است، رسالۀ شمسیه نوشتۀ کاتبی قزوینی را مانعی دربرابر ایجاد علم جدید در جهان اسلام معرفی کرده است، در حالی که مشابه چنین رسالاتی در غرب نیز وجود داشته است. در این مقاله توصیه می‌شود به جای پرسش از موانع انقلاب علمی در جهان اسلام، به عوامل ایجاد انقلاب علمی و فائق آمدن بر چنین موانعی پرداخته شود تا چنین به نظر نرسد که علت عدم وقوع انقلاب علمی در شرق و وقوع آن در غرب، عقب‌ماندگی عقل و منطق در شرق و جهان اسلام بوده است. در این مقاله بحث می‌شود که چرا نمی‌توان پرسید چه عواملی مانع انقلاب علمی در جهان اسلام شد. زیرا عین آن عوامل در تمدن غرب مسیحی اواخر قرون میانه نیز وجود داشتند. علاوه بر این، چنین پرسشی به آن معنا است که مسیر طبیعی علم قدیم آن بود که به علم جدید منجر شود، در حالی که این پیش‌فرض نیز مسلم نیست. نویسندۀ مقاله «روش شناسی بومی و علوم جدید» با اینکه به این نکات توجه داشته است، رسالۀ شمسیه نوشتۀ کاتبی قزوینی را مانعی دربرابر ایجاد علم جدید در جهان اسلام معرفی کرده است، در حالی که مشابه چنین رسالاتی در غرب نیز وجود داشته است. در این مقاله توصیه می‌شود به جای پرسش از موانع انقلاب علمی در جهان اسلام، به عوامل ایجاد انقلاب علمی و فائق آمدن بر چنین موانعی پرداخته شود تا چنین به نظر نرسد که علت عدم وقوع انقلاب علمی در شرق و وقوع آن در غرب، عقب‌ماندگی عقل و منطق در شرق و جهان اسلام بوده است.
