عنوان انگلیسی Improving quality of life for the patients with Breast cancer by twin hearts meditation: A randomized clinical trial
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Objectives: Concerning the prevalence and complications of breast cancer and its impact on the quality of life, low quality life leads to lack of self-care and increased risk of complications of the disease. In this context, this paper aims at study the effect of twin hearts meditation on the quality of life among the patients with breast cancer under chemotherapy. Methods: This randomized clinical trial was conducted on 102 breast cancer patients in two groups. The patients answered the survey demographic information of quality of life before intervention. The patients in the experimental group were trained twin hearts meditation by the researcher for 30 minutes in the intervention stage, and the patients did meditation 3 times a week for one and half months.Statistical analysis: The data were analysed by using SPSS v.20, descriptive statistics, paired T-test in a significant level (P< 0.05).Results: Statistically significant differences were observed between the two groups in before, and after the last intervention in 6 weeks. In the experimental group, the quality of life score increased from 81.3 to 88.9. Conclusion: Twin hearts meditation can improve the quality of life among the patients with breast cancer under chemotherapy. In this regard, it is suggested to consider twin hearts meditation as complementary medicine.
