چکیده انگلیسی مقاله In this article, love is defined from the point of view of Socrates, Plato, Ibn-e Arabi, and Molavi the attributes of which are investigated. The author has mainly attempted to investigate the viewpoints of Molavi on this subject, demonstrating that Molavi considered love as the state of attraction between two spirits, and that his ultimate goal in writing the story of "shah va kanizak" was to suggest that any sort of love initiating in this world is mortal if it is based on materialistic knowledge and that themundane love is not suitable for such a state. Hence, by contrast a love which does not originate from this world definitely has its origin in the other world and will eventually lead the lover towards God. To conclude the article, the views of such scholars as Sanaii, Ein-Ul• Ghozat, Attar and Hafez are employed.
