چکیده انگلیسی مقاله In his lecture in the IRF, the speaker dealt with the obstacles to neoterism, especially in the field of religious sciences. Referring to several centuries of scientific stagnation in Iran, he regards Imam Khomeini, Allamah Tabataba'i, and Martyr Mutahhari as the pillars of neoterism in the past fifty years which, from one viewpoint, is analyzed as grounded in their confrontation with Marxism after the incident of Shahrivar of 1320 SH (September 1941 CE). Expressing his concern for the backwardness in production of knowledge, particularly in jurisprudence, the speaker divides its deterrents into affirmative-negative, and interior-exterior. Then, he points out at a glance some of its symbols such as the lack of academic interaaction among scholars and unsystematic look at the religion. He believes that we are encountering problems in methodology, too, as exemplified in dogmatism towards the outer aspects in words and deeds of the Infallible. Accordingly, he stresses that the reasons for their happening, consisting of almost ten types, are to be fully recognized.
