چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Septic thrombophlebitis of the portal vein or its branches is a rare complication of intra-abdominal infections and can be further complicated by the formation of multiple pyogenic liver abscesses. We present the case of a 23-year-old man who was diagnosed with liver abscess, portal vein thrombosis, and appendicitis on imaging. We highlight the importance of radiologists’ skills in identifying these findings as a complication of appendicitis and prompt early and aggressive treatment for the patient for a better outcome.
