زمینه: temporomandibular disorders(TMDs)به گروهی از شرایط ایجاد کننده اختلال عملکرد مفصل فک اطلاق شده که پدر بیشتر موارد نمی توان علت آن را شناسایی کرد. این اختلال در بزرگسالان نسبت به نوجوانان وهمچنین در زنان نسبت به مردان شیوع بالاتری دارد. هدف: هدف از این مطالعه بررسی کارایی low level laser در درمان اختلالات گیجگاهی فکی می باشد.
روشها: در این مقاله مروری روایتی (narrative review) با جست و جوی کلیدواژه های temporomandibular disorder ، low level laser ،pain myofascial ( بر اساس Mesh) ، مروری بر مقالات موجود در پایگاه های google scholar ، pubmed ، Scopous انجام شد. محدوده جستجوی مقالات، عمدتاً از سال 2020 تا 2023 بود.
یافتهها: از بین 271مقاله یافت شده ، تنها 8 مقاله وارد مطالعه شدند و 6 مقاله تایید کردند که low-level laser می تواند در درمان TMD موثر باشد.
نتیجهگیری: با توجه به نتایج این مرور میتوان گفت LLLT در درمان TMD و اختلالات مرتبط با ان از جمله درد عضلات جونده و مفصل گیجگاهی و مشکل در باز شدن فک موثر است.مقالات بررسی شده محدود هستند و با قاطعیت نمی توان نتیجه گیری کرد.
Background: Temporomandibular disorders (TMDs) are a group of conditions that cause dysfunction in the jaw joint. The etiology of TMDs is not well- known. These disorders have a higher prevalence in woman and younger population.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of low level laser therapy in the treatment of temporomandibular disorders.
Methods: In this narrative review article , google scholar ، pubmed ، Scopous data bases were searched from 2020 to 2023 using the key words; temporomandibular disorders ، low level laser therapy(LLLT) ، myofascial pain (mesh terms).
Results: Among of the 271 articles which were found, only 8 articles were included in the study and 6 articles confirmed that low-level laser can be effective in the treatment of TMDs.
Conclusion: According to the results of this review, it can be said that LLLT is effective in the treatment of TMDs and its related disorders, such as masticatory muscle disorder, temporal joint pain and difficulty in jaw opening. The reviewed articles are limited and conclusions cannot be drawn certainty.
