عنوان فارسی خوانش ‌اسطوره‌شناختی «لاتاری» اثر شرلی جکسون
چکیده فارسی مقاله داستان کوتاه «لاتاری» نوشتۀ شرلی جکسون، آیین سالانۀ بخت‌آزمایی را در یک روستای کوچک آمریکایی به تصویر می‌کشد. داستان به نحوی غریب و ترسناک به پایان می‌رسد. این داستان، معطوف به آن دسته از هنجارها و آداب و رسوم فرهنگی است که به مثابۀ آگاهی کاذب عمل می‌کنند و سوژه را به انجام کنش‌هایی پیش‌تأملی هدایت می‌کنند. کنش‌هایی که بیشتر در متن پراکسیس اجتماعی روی می‌دهند و بنابراین فاقد عقلانیت لازم هستند، چراکه اساساً رانۀ پیش‌برندۀ این کنش‌ها ارادۀ کورِ اجتماعی است. بر این اساس، با توجه به ماهیت این داستان و در پاسخ به این پرسش که «ایستادن در صف مرگ» چه ارتباطی با بخت‌آزمایی دارد و علت تداوم این آیین چیست، نگارنده با استخدام الگوی اسطوره‌شناختی رنه ژرار به عنوان چارچوب کلّی نقد ضمن تحلیل و نقد داستان حاضر، به تبیین شاخص‌های جامعه-روان‌شناختی اثر می‌پردازد. در پایان مشخص می‌شود بنیان این داستان مبتنی بر فراشد قربانی به مثابۀ امری آیینی است که در مرتبه‌ای «متقدم بر بازنمایی نمادین» عمل می‌کند. فراشد قربانی ضمن بازنمایی واقعیات مادی، نظام درونی اثر را سروسامان می‌بخشد.

عنوان انگلیسی A Mythological Reading of Shirley Jackson’s Lottery
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله The short story "The Lottery" written by Shirley Jackson depicts the annual lottery ritual in a small American village. The story ends in a strange and scary manner. This story is aimed at those cultural norms and customs that act as false consciousness and lead the subject to preconteplative actions. Actions that occur mostly in the context of social praxis and therefore lack the necessary rationality, because basically the driving force behind these actions is blind social will. Based on this, according to the nature of this story and in response to the question of what "standing in the death row" has to do with lottery and what is the reason for the continuation of this ritual, by employing the mythological model of René Gerard as the general framework of criticism while analyzing and criticizing the present story, the author explains the socio-psychological indicators of the work. In the end, it is clear that the foundation of this story is based on the offering of sacrifice as a ritual matter that acts in an order "prior to symbolic representation". Sacrifice rituals, while representing material realities, organize the internal system of the work.
