عنوان انگلیسی Life Quality and Sustainable Development in the Development Plans of Iran considering “AmartiaSen”'s Approach
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله This research conducted on the basis of the quality of sustainable development emphasizes Sen’s concept of capability and quality of life in the development plans of Iran and determines its level in the third and fourth development plans. Two methods are utilized in this study. The first one is a comparative method concerned with content analysis. The second is based on statistical and mathematical operations on the data with reference to Sen’s sustainability index. In the third and fourth plans after the revolution, the concepts of promotion of human security and empowerment were taken into consideration, and some indicators of sustainability like environment preservation and creation of equal opportunities were included at the level of policy making. In its second part and based on a standard deviation methodology,the analysis shows that, in the third development plan, the level of sustainable development was unsatisfactory and the sustainable index was negative. It is found, however, that the negative index tended to decline during the plan and then to became positive at the end of the plan. This procedure continued to the fourth plan, so that the index showed the highest value in 1384 (2005), but it
