Enhanced Photocatalytic Activity of CuO/NCW via Adsorption Optimization for Refinery Wastewater
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله
The present work emphasizes the synthesis of novel nanocomposite used as adsorption/photodegradation for an activity for organic contaminants in Refinery WasteWater (RWW) has been achieved by wet chemical method from Nanocellulose
by hydrolysis Cotton Waste (CW) and impregnated in CuO nanostructures. Cotton waste is the main danger aimed at removal or left-over management because of ecological issues and copper oxide nanomaterials are of attention to the explanation of their potential uses in several scientific fields. The physical properties of the nanocomposite and CW were analyzed with XRD, FE-SEM, FT-IR, DRS, BET, and TGA tests. The NCW was initially extracted through alkali and bleaching treatments by NaOH and H

to increase surface area and functionality group of surfaces, followed by isolation of NCW through the mixed nitric acid solution hydrolysis of CW under optimum conditions for preparation. The nanocomposites were prepared and then tested for adsorption and photocatalytic degradation of Organic Pollutants (OP). The addition of CuO nanostructures to the NCW adsorbent usually improved their photocatalytic and adsorption activity. Extending this method CuO with NCW could be synthesized without using organic solvent, luxurious raw materials, and complex equipment. Besides simplicity, the advantage of producing nanoparticles by this method is that it is easy, supple, wild, and cost-effective.
