عنوان انگلیسی The sociological explanation of the fear of crime among the cities of the province of Hamedan: In both micro-level and regional
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله This article aims to sociological explain of fear of crime in the province of Hamedan. At the regional level the cities are the unit of analysis and we have tried to explain the fear of crime in these cities with emphasis on the level of development. Independent variables included in the micro-level social disorganization, social capital and social control. The population consists of all heads of households living in these cities and of those, 800 households is selected as the sample by quota sampling method. The method used was survey and all data gathered by questionnaire. To establish a logical connection between development and the fear of crime Smelser's theory is used. According to this theory development processes in the Third World societies leads to a kind of anomie or social turmoil. In examining this mess of indicators such as social disorganization, lack of social control and lack of social capital is used. The results show that there is a significant relations between level of development of municipalities of the province and the fear of crime in the cities. At the micro level there is a significant relationship between fear of crime and social control, social disorganization and social capital.
