چکیده فارسی مقاله در این مقاله با تفکیک رویکرد و نظریۀ هرمنوتیکی از یکدیگر، ابتدا نظریۀ هرمنوتیکی فردریک شلایرماخر الاهی‌دان پروتستان سدۀ نوزدهم توضیح داده شده سپس با تکیه بدان، رویکرد هرمنوتیکی وی بیان و ارزیابی شده‌است. به باور وی، اولاً باید در فرایند فهم متن، علاوه بر متن به ذهنیت نویسنده هم توجه کرد وگرنه مفسر نمی‌تواند به فهم خویش از اثر نویسنده مطمئن شود. ثانیاً، افزون بر قواعد گرامری و زبانی، قواعد و روش‌هایی نیاز است تا مفسر به تعبیر وی، بتواند ذهنیت نویسنده را بازسازی کند ثالثاً وی معتقد بود که مفسر در بازسازی ذهنیت نویسنده باید پیشفرض‌های خویش را کنار بگذارد تا بتواند به فهم اثر نویسنده دست یابد رابعاً وی همچنان «روش» را راه دستیابی به ذهنیت نویسنده می‌داند و در نتیجه، دستیابی به فهم نهایی یعنی مقصود نویسنده را ممکن اما دشوار می‌شمرد. نظریۀ هرمنوتیکی شلایرماخر برغم نوآوری‌های قابل توجه مانند 1) توجه به مفهوم فهم به‌مثابۀ هدف یک نظریۀ هرمنوتیکی 2) ارائه نظریه‌ای درباره سرشت زبان، 3) توجه به درهم تنیدگی زبان و اندیشه 4) تاکید بر نقش ذهنیت نویسنده در فرایند فهم و 5) ارائه روش‌هایی برای دستیابی به ذهنیت نویسنده، کوشیده‌است تا با تکیه بر امکان اپوخه کردن پیشفرض‌های مفسر در فهم متن 6) راه را برای بازتولید ذهنیت نویسنده باز و 7) از عینیت فهم به معنای امکان دستیابی به ذهنیت نویسنده در چارچوب سنت تاریخی وی دفاع کند. اما هرمنوتیست‌های پسامدرن مانند گادامر بر این باورند که اپوخه‌کردن پیشفرض‌های مفسر در فهم متن و در نتیجه، بازتولید ذهنیت نویسنده و دستیابی به فهم عینی یعنی ذهنیت نویسنده در چارچوب سنت تاریخی وی ممکن نیست.

عنوان انگلیسی Evaluation of Schleiermacher’s Hermeneutic Theory
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله By separating the hermeneutic approach from the hermeneutic theory, this article first explains the hermeneutic theory of Friedrich Schleiermacher, a 19th-century Protestant theologian. It then expresses and evaluates his hermeneutic approach based on this theory. According to Schleiermacher, in understanding a text, attention should be paid to the text itself and the author's mentality; otherwise, the interpreter cannot be sure of their understanding of the author's work. Secondly, besides grammatical and linguistic rules, he presented rules and methods that enable the interpreter to reconstruct the author's mentality. Thirdly, he believed that the interpreter must set aside their assumptions when reconstructing the author's mentality to understand the author's work truly. Fourthly, he continued to use the "method" to understand the author's subjectivity and considered it possible, albeit difficult, to attain the final understanding—namely, the author's intention. Despite significant innovations, such as 1) paying attention to the concept of understanding as the goal of hermeneutic theory, 2) presenting a theory about the nature of language, 3) exploring the intertwining of language and thought, 4) emphasising the role of the author's subjectivity in the understanding process, and 5) providing methods for achieving insight into the author's subjectivity, Schleiermacher's hermeneutic theory acknowledges the possibility of transcending the interpreter's assumptions when understanding the text. He defended the objectivity of understanding in terms of the potential to grasp the author's subjectivity within the framework of their historical tradition. However, postmodern hermeneutics, such as Gadamer's, argue that it is impossible to transcend the interpreter's presuppositions in understanding the text and, consequently, reproduce the author's subjectivity or achieve objective understanding—specifically, the author's subjectivity within their historical context.
