عنوان انگلیسی The blame in the Arabic language: a pragmatic study according to the Dell Hymes model in selected narrative texts
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Blaming is one of the practical speech acts in conversations. Knowing how to use it falls within the field of pragmatic skills and cultural issues and is crucial in the success or failure of communication with Arabic speakers, because blame is usually used in negative situations and can threaten the audience's face and expose the communication to failure. This research chose the speech act of blaming for the study, after extracting it from 8 Arabic narrative texts and studying it according to the Dell Hymes SPEAKING model and the descriptive-analytical method. This research aims to recognize how to use blame in the Arabic language and to reveal the importance of focusing on pragmatic and cultural matters in successful communication with Arabic speakers. The results indicated the coordination between the parts of the Hymes model. Also, each part of the model has participated in applying blame and is compatible with the other. The research revealed that blame usually occurs in informal situations, and most blame occurs in an equal and intimate manner. The different types of blame purposes indicate the need to pay attention to the context of the speech and the situation in the communication process. The tone of the speech plays an effective role in blaming. Blame occurs through various rules, the most obvious of which is opposition. And blame is also usually used directly. The speech attracts the attention of the speakers more than other subjects of blame, and blame is usually used in the form of declarative sentences.
