عنوان انگلیسی Evaluation of Heart Rate Variability by Smartphone App Using Pulse Photoplethysmography in Acute Myocardial Infarction
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Background HRV correlates with localized myocardial ischemia and predicts adverse cardiovascular outcomes after acute myocardial infarction, including sudden and non-sudden cardiac death and non-cardiac death. PPG measurements were in good agreement with ECG for the time-domain HRV indices. In this study, HRV was measured using smartphone PPG, focusing on SDNN and rMSSD, which are parameters noted for their low error and recommended for use. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted to evaluate the relationship between HRV measured by the Camera HRV app and some clinical and laboratory characteristics in patients with AMI and the role of HRV in assessing the presence of AMI. Results A study on 101 patients with acute myocardial infarction and 121 individuals in the control group showed that patients with LVEF <50%, Killip II-IV, regional wall motion abnormalities, or multivessel coronary artery disease had lower values of SDNN and rMSSD. ROC analysis identified an optimal cutoff point of 21.35 ms for detecting AMI. This model had a sensitivity of 87.6% and a specificity of 62.4%, and the area under the curve (AUC) was 0.832. Similarly, with a cutoff point of 24.35 ms, rMSSD showed a sensitivity of 71.9%, specificity of 67.3%, and AUC of 0.738. Conclusion The use of HRV Camera applications to measure short-term SDNN can be a novel digital health modality that enhances the detection of coronary artery disease, specifically acute myocardial infarction, with an emphasis on its simplicity and non-invasiveness.
