چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Aims: Given the increasing mental health challenges in higher education, resilience is increasingly recognized as a crucial factor in promoting student well-being and mitigating distress. This study explored the impact of resilience on the psychological well-being and distress of university students.
Instrument & Methods: This quantitative research was done on a sample of 1,483 students, utilizing validated resilience and mental health scales. Data were analyzed using multivariate regression analysis to examine the influence of resilience on dimensions of well-being (positive emotions, social relationships, and life satisfaction) and distress factors (anxiety, depression, and loss of control).
Findings: Resilience significantly enhanced psychological well-being, with the most substantial effects observed in life satisfaction and emotional regulation. Furthermore, resilience served a protective role in reducing psychological distress, particularly in preventing loss of control and mitigating anxiety and depression. These results emphasize resilience as a key psychological resource in higher education, highlighting its role in fostering adaptive coping strategies and emotional stability.
