عنوان انگلیسی P-16: Evaluation of IL-17, TGF-β and IL-6Transcripts in Lymphocytes from Draining Lymph Nodes of Patients with Breast Cancer
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Objective: IL-17-producing CD4+ T helper (Th17) cells have recently been defined as a unique subset of pro-inflammatory helper cells are known by producing IL-17. IL-17 is an inflammatory cytokine with robust effect on many cells and it can play important roles in pathogenesis of a diverse group of immune-mediated diseases, including autoimmune diseases and cancers. Development of Th17 cells depends on signaling initiated by IL-6 and TGF-β and induction of RORγt. We, therefore, evaluated IL-6, TGF-β and IL-17 transcripts in lymphocytes from draining lymph nodes of breast cancer patients. Materials and Methods: Lymph nodes from 26 patients undergoing surgical mastectomy obtained 9 were positive and 17 were negative for tumor infiltration. Then, abundance of IL-17, IL-6 and TGF-β gene transcripts was determined by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR). Results: There were no significant differences in IL-6, IL-17 and TGF-β gene expression among negative and positive nodes. Moreover there was not any significant difference between noted cytokines expression among patients with different stages and grades. Conclusion: Although IL-6 and IL-17 are proinflammatory cytokines, it is concluded that metastasis doesn't have any influence in IL-17, IL-6 and TGF-β expressions in draining lymph nodes of breast cancer patients.
