عنوان انگلیسی P-17: Comparison of Ipsilateral R2 CMAP2 Blink Reflex in Normal and Parkinsonism Model Ratsm
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Objective: Parkinson’s disease is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by a progressive loss of locomotive muscle due to fault of the special part of CNS which causes that remain elusive still now. The purpose of this study was to investigate indirectly the particular functions of some nuclei in brain stem that are involved in nervous pathways of ipsilateral blink reflex in normal and Parkinsonism model rats blink reflex is a good approach tfor detecting abnormality in peripheral and central nervous pathways and some relative cranial nuclei including Vs and VII that are involved in this process. Materials and Methods: Experiments were carried out in the anesthetized normal (n=9) and Parkinsonism model induced with MPTP (n=9) adult with the same pair age groups with mean 226.33 ± 52.813 SD days old, male and Wistar rats. The recording needle EMG electrodes were inserted into the left inferior orbicularis oculi muscle. Other electrodes were placed around the eye. For recording EMG signals, the supraorbital nerve; branch of ophthalmic trigeminal nerve was stimulated ipsilaterally with the special power. Results: The Parkinsonism discharge pattern of spike potentials were irregular as compared with the normal spike potentials in the age matched. With increasing Parkinsonism ages, the compound muscle amplitude potentials (CMAPs) were decreased. Meanwhile, the Parkinsonism mean amplitude value was 17.9 ± 3.76 for the eldest rat in compared with the same pair age of normal one was 103.68 ± 3.74. The different percentage of R2 CMAPs between the normal and Parkinsonism was calculated 82.73% for the same pair eldest age, whereas this difference in the same pair youngest ole was found 63.83%. Conclusion: The inferior orbicularis oculi muscle activity in Parkinsonism has impaired in compared with the normal one. Besides, this defect with increasing ages was conformed to reduce of the means amplitude spike potential values, but for normal one was different.
