عنوان انگلیسی Relationship between occupational burnout with emotional intelligence and occupational stress: a structural equation model among hospital nurses
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Introduction: Due to broad environment of activity and continuous encounter with considerable job stresses, nurses are prone to occupational burnout. The occupational burnout is considered as one of the most important problems which has numerous adverse effects on nurses' job. Various personal, psychological and social factors are effective in occupational burnout. Therefore, the goal of this study was to find out the relationship between emotional intelligence and occupational stress with occupational burnout of nurses working in public hospitals of Kerman. Methodology: This study is descriptive-analytical one which is done cross-sectionally and its sampling method is stratified random. It was done on 300 nurses working in Kerman hospitals. Standard questionnaires were used to gather information. Data were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS and structural and confirmatory factor analysis models were used to measure the model of the study. Results: The results showed that emotional intelligence and job stress affect occupational burnout. Also, there were meaningful and negative relationships between emotional intelligence and job stress (p< 0.001) and increasing emotional intelligence results in decreasing job stress. Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study and the significance of occupational burnout and its adverse effects on nurses, it can be concluded that one of the plans for decreasing the syndrome of occupational burnout in nurses could be concentration on improvement of psycho-personal factors of job environments including emotional intelligence and job stress.
