عنوان انگلیسی The Relationship between Imagination and Identity in the Philosophy of Mulla Sadra
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Mulla Sadra established an ontological view in imagination discourse by proofing attached fantastic world and the abstraction of this element. He in this way made a fundamental evolution in cognition, self- propelled and of course the formation of human identity. In this paper, we attempt to utilize analysis and deduction to propose a schema for the relationship between imagination and human identity through Mulla Sadra’s philosophical viewpoint. Such schema can define a framework and landscape as to explaining how cosmic interpenetration of imagination can form and shape the identity. Forma individual (in human being), flowing form (inherent), and final form (possessions), are all key concepts in describing the ontology of identity and its inherent fluidity. Imagination is considered as a collective of soul’s potentials for engaging imaginal forms such as, retention (retentive faculty), manipulation (manipulative faculty), concepts’ ideation (imaginative faculty) and conceptualization of forms (reflective faculty). Mulla Sadra’s beliefs, which denote imaginative forms as incorporeal, emanative and ontic, and indicate soul as being of material (i.e. of capacity) for the ::union:: and acceptance of these forms, have been the basis for describing the relationship between imagination and identity. Imagination has an intrinsic, unificatory and reciprocal relationship with identity. Imagination, through its intervention and trihedral attendance, is the production factor, source of preservation and an aware intermediary for identity. After its initial formation, identity also has a full intermediary access to imagination processes such as origination, retention, manipulation and representation of imaginary forms (imagination).
