چکیده انگلیسی مقاله In this investation phenotype frequency of some polymorph systems namely ABC, haptoglobin, esterase D and acid phosphatase, in 104 patients suffering from oesophageal cancer were compared with those of the healthy controls. The results were analysed using chi square and woolfs test. In general, the outcome of the present investigation showed that although the frequency of B blood groups in oesophageal cancer patients was observed to be more than that in controls, the difference was not statically significant Association of in haptoglobin system with oesophageal cancer was not statistically significant. In the esterase D system frequency of heterozygote phenotype ESD2-1 in oesophageal cancer patients was more than that in the control group and the difference was statistically significant (P< 0.05). Frequency of phenotype BB of the acid phosphatase system in oesophageal cancer patients was more than in the controls and this outcome was statistically significant (p< 0.01).
