عنوان فارسی بررسی تظاهرات دهانی - دندانی در مصرف کنندگان متا‌آمفتامین، مراجعه‌کننده به بخش بیماری‌های دهان دانشکده دندان‌پزشکی تبریز و ملاحظات دندان‌پزشکی این بیماران
چکیده فارسی مقاله پیش‌زمینه و هدف: آمفتامین، متا‌آمفتامین و سایر داروهای این گروه جزء داروهای محرک CNSهستند. مصرف کنندگان متا‌آمفتامین ممکن است مشکلات دندانی متعددی داشته باشند. در استفاده کنندگان این مواد نسبت ابتلا به بیماری‌های دهانی و دندانی بیش‌تر از سایر افراد است.مواد و روش‌ها: در این مطالعه مقطعی30نفر با سابقه مصرف متا‌آمفتامین و 30 نفر از افرادی که سابقه استفاده از این مواد را نداشتند به عنوان گروه کنترل انتخاب شدند. جمعیت مورد مطالعه، افراد مراجعه کننده به بخش بیماری‌های دهان دانشکده دندان‌پزشکی تبریز بودند که در طول یک سال از ابتدای مهرماه 1390تا ابتدای مهر ماه 1391 به بخش بیماری‌های دهان دانشکده دندان‌پزشکی تبریز مراجعه کرده بودند. این افراد از نظر میانگین DMFT، attrition، xerostomia، rampant carries وbruxism مورد مطالعه قرار گرفتند. آنالیزهای آماری انجام گردید و برای مقایسه تفاوت میانگین‌ها از two sample t-testو آزمون یو من ویتنی و نرم افزار آماری SPSS ویرایش 16 استفاده گردید. در این مطالعه 05/0 = α در نظر گرفته شد. یافته‌ها: بر طبق آنالیزهای آماری انجام شده میانگین DMFT، attrition، xerostomia، rampant carriesو bruxism گروه مورد از گروه شاهد بیش‌تر می‌باشد.بحث و نتیجه گیری: از آنجائی‌که سوء مصرف این مواد می‌تواند عوارض جانبی زیادی داشته باشد لذا لازم است دندان پزشک با این علایم و خطرات پزشکی مرتبط با آن آشنا باشند. لازم است این بیماران مورد توجه زیادی قرار گیرند و علایم و تظاهرات دهانی مرتبط با مصرف متا‌آمفتامین‌ها از جمله پوسیدگی‌های فرا گستر، اروژن های مینایی، خشکی دهان، براکسیسم و تریسموس عضلانی و تغییر رنگ‌های دندانی تحت درمان قرار گیرند.

عنوان انگلیسی ORODENTAL MANIFESTATIONS IN METHAMPHETAMINE USERS REFEREEING TO ORAL MEDICINE DEPARTMENT, AND THEIR DENTAL CONSIDERATIONS
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Background & Aims: Amphetamine, methamphetamine, and other medications in this group stimulate the central nervous system (CNS). Users of methamphetamine might have various dental problems. Among the users of this substance, the rate of orodental disease is higher than other people. Materials & Methods: In this cross-sectional study, the subjects consisted of 30 individuals with a history of taking methamphetamine and 30 individuals with no such history as the controls. The population of study was those who referred to oral medicine department of dental faculty of Tabriz University over a year from October 2011 since October 2012. These patients were compared about averages of DMFT, attrition, ، xerostomia ، rampant carries, and bruxism. Two-sample t-test and Mann-Whitney U test were applied to evaluate differences in the means using SPSS 16 (α=0.05). Results : Based on the results, the means of DMFT, attrition, xerostomia, rampant caries and bruxism scores were higher in the case group compared to the controls. Conclusion : Since using the medications of this group might result in a number of side effects, it is necessary that dental practitioners be familiar with the signs and symptoms and medical complications related to these medications. Dental considerations of these patients have always been associated with a number of challenges however, it is necessary that these patients be carefully monitored and the oral manifestations associated with the use of amphetamines, including rampant caries, enamel surface erosions, xerostomia, bruxism, trismus, and tooth discolorations be dealt with.
