چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Background : Peptic ulcer is common and symptoms such as epigastria pain and heartburn, the results of various studies and aim of study was to evaluate the prevalence of gastric ulcers in the systematic review and meta-analysis is a method. Materials and methods : 6 Iranian papers in the range of 2002 to 2012 are selected using valid keywords in the SID, Goggle scholar and Elsevier databases and heterogeneously of the sample are obtained using the I 2 index. Results : In this study, the total number of data, 751 people with an average of 125 in each study 6 article in the meta-analysis, the final entered the prevalence of gastric ulcers in women by 30% with 95% confidence intervals (41% -19%) and the level significant P = 0.000 and index I 2 89.6% incidence of Peptic ulcers in men and 60% with 95% confidence intervals (67% -53%) and a significance level of P = 0.051 and index I 2 54.7% and the incidence of Peptic ulcers generally 41 % with 95% confidence intervals (47% -36%) and a significance level of P =0.222 and index I 2 28.4% is calculated. Conclusions : The prevalence of Peptic ulcers in Iran (41%) and the rest of the world (6% to 15%) and the rate is increasing with the increase in the incidence in men (60%) and among women (30%), which indicates that more men than women suffer from stomach ulcers are probably a major reason it is recommended to quit smoking by men is done by them.
