عنوان فارسی بررسی میزان موفقیت بخش دندانپزشکی کودکان دانشکده دندانپزشکی مشهد در آموزش مهارتهای بالینی از دیدگاه دانشجویان
چکیده فارسی مقاله Introduction: Periodic evaluation of educational programs provides insight into the course and teaching effectiveness. Effective evaluation provides valuable information, which contributes to both student's and course success. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the success of pediatric dentistry department at Mashhad dental school in clinical education from students' perspectives. Materials & Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted on 116 fifth and sixth grade undergraduate dental students in pediatric dentistry at Mashhad dental school. A questionnaire including 21 multiple choice questions about 7 parts of clinical skills in pediatric dentistry was given to each student. Data were analyzed by Mann-Whitney in SPSS software. Results: According to the study results, among 7 different clinical skills in pediatric dentistry including: examination, behavior management, prevention, injection, restoration, pulp treatment and space management, the highest success rate of pediatric dentistry department was in prevention and injection and the lowest success rate in space management and behavior control. Furthermore, from the students' perspective, male students compared to female students mentioned a higher rate of success in choosing the type of restoration material for pediatric dentistry department (P=0. 041). Conclusion: This study showed that the students' self-reported clinical skills in different parts of pediatric dentistry has been adequate. Students reported a lack of confidence in "behavior management" and "space management" which warrants greater emphasis in the undergraduate curriculum.

چکیده انگلیسی مقاله مقدمه:ارزیابی دوره‏ای برنامه‏های آموزشی سبب ایجاد بینش نسبت به دوره و کارایی بیشتر امر آموزش می‏شود. ارزیابی موثر منجر به فراهم آمدن اطلاعات ارزشمندی می گردد که با موفقیت دانشجو و برنامه آموزشی در ارتباط است. هدف از انجام مطالعه حاضر بررسی میزان موفقیت بخش دندانپزشکی کودکان دانشکده دندانپزشکی مشهد در ایجاد مهارت‏های بالینی از دیدگاه دانشجویان بود. مواد و روش‏ها: دراین مطالعه مقطعی، 116 نفر از دانشجویان دوره عمومی سال پنجم و ششم دانشکده دندانپزشکی، در بخش دندانپزشکی کودکان دانشگاه علوم پزشکی مشهدشرکت داشتند. پرسشنامه‏ای حاوی 21 سوال چهار گزینه ای در هفت گروه مهارت بالینی دندانپزشکی کودکان در اختیار دانشجویان قرار گرفت. تحلیل داده‏ها با استفاده از آزمون Mann-Whitney در نرم افزار SPSS انجام شد. یافته‏ها:براساس نتایج این پژوهش، در میان هفت گروه مختلف مهارت بالینی دردندانپزشکی کودکان که شامل معاینه، کنترل کودک، پیشگیری، تزریق، ترمیم، درمان پالپ و حفظ فضا می باشد، بیشترین میزان موفقیت بخش دندانپزشکی کودکان در زمینه آموزش پیشگیری و تزریق و کمترین آن در زمینه‏های حفظ فضا وکنترل کودک بوده است. همچنین از دید دانشجویان موفقیت بخش در آموزش مهارت بالینی انتخاب مواد ترمیمی در دانشجویان پسر بیشتر از دختران بود(041/0P=). نتیجه گیری: نتایج این مطالعه نشان داد که میزات مهارت بالینی از دیدگاهدانشجویان در بخش‏های گوناگون دندانپزشکی کودکان در حد مطلوب بوده است. دانشجویان گزارش کردند که در زمینه کنترل رفتار و کنترل فضا احساس کمبود می کنند که این امر نشانگر نیاز به تاکید بیشتر در این زمینه درکوریکولوم دوره دکترای عمومی دندانپزشکی است.
