عنوان فارسی اثرات دوران قاعدگی بر شاخص‏های پریودنشیوم
چکیده فارسی مقاله مقدمه: پلاک باکتریایی به عنوان فاکتور اولیه برای شروع بیماری پریودنتال شناخته شده است. اگرچه حضور پاتوژن‏ها در ایجاد بیماری پریودنتال ضروری است، اما بدون داشتن میزبان مستعد، کافی نمی‎‏باشند و فاکتورها و شرایط سیستمیک میزبان باید در این زمینه در نظر گرفته شود. در میان موقعیت‏های مختلف سیستمیک میزبان، هورمون‏های جنسی به عنوان فاکتورهای تغییردهنده مهمی هستند که می‏توانند بر بیماریزایی بیماری‏های پریودنتال تاثیرگذار باشند. هدف مطالعه حاضر بررسی اثرات دوران قاعدگی بر شاخص‏های پریودنشیوم بود. مواد و روش‏‏ها: در این مطالعه، 20 خانم در سن 17 تا 45 سال انتخاب شدند. پیش از شروع معاینات، جرم‏گیری و آموزش بهداشت برای تمام افراد مورد مطالعه انجام شد. سپس معاینات کلینیکی توسط پروب و آینه دندانپزشکی انجام شد که شامل 3 زمان در طول سیکل قاعدگی بود: زمان تخمک گذاری (OV)، زمان (PM) Pre Menstruation و زمان (M) Mense. تمام این معاینات در طول 12 ماه به فواصل 4 ماه انجام شد. اندکس‏‏های بررسی شده شامل (PI) Plaque Index، (GI) Gingival Index و (PD) Probing Depth بود و تمام این اندکس‏‏‏ها در اطراف دندان‏های رامفورد (Ramfjord teeth) مورد بررسی قرار گرفتند. آزمون فریدمن برای مقایسه 3 زمان در طول سیکل و جهت مقایسه 2 به 2 از آزمون ویلکاکسیون استفاده شد (05/0P). نتیجه گیری:طی مراحل تخمک‏گذاری و Premenstruation، به واسطه وجود تغییرات هورمونی، شاخص التهاب لثه افزایش معنی‏دار می یابد و پیشنهاد می‏شود، جهت جلوگیری از ایجاد بیماری پریودنتال، بهداشت دهان کاملاً رعایت شود.

عنوان انگلیسی Evaluation of Menstrual Cycle on Periodontal Parameters
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Introduction: Bacterial plaque has been identified as the primary factor for the onset of periodontal disease. Although pathogens are very important in the pathogenesis of periodontal diseases, the hosts' systemic and predisposing factors should also be considered. Sex hormones are important factors contributing to periodontal diseases. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of menstruation cycle on periodontal indices. Materials & Methods: In this study, 20 premenopausal women (17-45 years old) were selected. Before the examination, scaling and oral health instruction for all subjects was done. Clinical examinations were done during the menstrual cycle specifically during ovulation (OV) time, during pre-menstruation (PM) and during menstruation (M) with four month in tervals. Indices evaluated included: 1) Plaque index (PI) 2) Gingival index (GI) 3) Probing depth (PD) around the (Ramfjord teeth). Friedman test was used for comparison among the three durations and for two by two comparisons, Wilcoxon test was used. Results: Results showed a significant difference among the phases of the menstrual cycle for gingival index (P< 0.05), and during the menstruation, the inflammation was significantly less than the other stages but PI and PD did not show significant differences during menstrual cycle (P>0.05). Conclusion: During menstrual cycle due to the hormonal changes, gingival index and inflammation is significantly increased indicating that in order to prevent periodontal diseases, oral health should be maintained.
