چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Osteoporosis is a major public health problem in the world which could be prevented or delayed its onset throughsome lifestyle .The aim of this study was to assess the application PRECEDE-PROCEED model on promotion of Kerman City Women Physical Activity for Preventive of Osteoporosis. Material & Methods: This quasi-experimental study was a before and after study. Participants in the study included 120 women referred to the health centers in Kerman in 1393, and were recruited through multistage cluster sampling andwere randomly divided to the control (n = 60) and intervention (n = 60) group. Among preventive behaviors of osteoporosis, physical activity was selected for educational intervention. Educational intervention last for 2 months. An international standard questionnaire was used to measure physical activity, and a researcher-produced questionnaire, according to the constructs of PRECEDE Model was applied to collect the data before and after the intervention. Data analysis was done using descriptive and analytical statistics in SPSS version 20. Results: The result showed that before interventions, enabling factor was found as the most predictive factor of physical activity (p=0.04). After educational interventions, in the mean scores of predisposing, reinforcing and, enabling factors, and osteoporosis preventive behaviors (physical activity), statistically significant increase (p< 0.0001) was observed only in the intervention group compared to the control group. Conclusion: This study showed that educational intervention based on the PRECEDE - PROCEED model can be effective in promotion of osteoporosis preventive behaviors in community.
