چکیده فارسی مقاله بررسی موضوع استعمار در رمان‌های دانشور، رویکرد و راه‌کارهای وی را برای هویت‌یابی و شیوه‌ی مبارزه با استعمار مشخص می‌کند. هدف در این پژوهش نیز واکاوی این موضوع در رمان‌های جزیره‌سرگردانی، ساربان‌سرگردان و سَووشون با روش تحلیل محتواست. از نظر بسامد، دانشور بیشتر سلطه فرهنگی استعمار را به خصوص در زمینه‌ی خانواده برجسته کرده است و این که کشورهای استعمارگر از طریق آموزش زبان، هنر و معماری، می‌کوشند مردم مستعمره را از فرهنگ بومی تهی کنند. در زمینه سیاست، بیشتر به فعالیت‌های ضد استعماری و وابستگی و دست‌نشاندگی مسئولان پرداخته است. سلطه اقتصادی استعمار فراوانی کمی در آثار وی دارد و اشاره‌هایی به غارت منابع ملی و تبدیل شدن کشور، به بازاری برای کالاهای خارجی شده است. از نظر دانشور، فقر و جهل، مهمترین عوامل زمینه‌ساز استعمار شدن هستند و بازگشت به سنت‌های اصیل ضمن توجه به ویژگی‌های مثبت فرهنگ مدرن، مهمترین راه‌کار برای مبارزه با استعمار است.
