چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Introduction: In any health system, various measures have been taken to prevent occurrence and spread of epidemic outbreaks .preplanning and preparing for any crisis is very important in pre-cirsis phase of management and control of any epidemic situation .in October 2012, afterEltor Cholera outbreak in Iraq’s Kurdistan province, Iran’s Ministry of Health and Medical Education (MOHME) have altered situation in western borders cities including Marivan . The objective of this study is to investigate the process of preparing for probable Cholera epidemic in Marivan city. Methods: This is a practical study that was implemented in six steps employing different methods for data gathering including situation analysis ,document, literature review ,and qualitative data analysis Methods. Findings: Enforcement measures and organizational coordination were proposed to control the probable outbreak such as executive and educational measures, internal and external coordination with other organizations and obliging them for hygienic measures through job description . The following items identified as the weakness of measures in marivancovering : lack of definition of the incident command system (ICS)in the health center . Conclusion : Risk assessment approach can lead to valuable results. Lack of exercise to prepare for similar events will lead to inconsistency between responsible and involving teams . In Marivan planning and coordination with other organizations were performed through disaster control approach ,meanwhile risk assessment approach can lead to valuable results .
